Experiencia fantástica: Dra. Andrea is the most knowledgeable, caring, competent INTERNIST / GENERAL MEDICINE DOCTOR in SMA. After being misdiagnosed by a doctor at MAC, who said I had STAGE 3B KIDNEY DISEASE; I went for another medical opinion at LA CLINICA with Dra. Andrea using their "in house" laboratories. I was correctly diagnosed with parasites and treated for that issue. After 3 days of Dra. Andrea's prescriptions (filled immediately at the La Clinica Pharmacy). I was 90% better. A few more days and I was parasite clear and ready to resume my happy life. No fuss, no confusion, no drama! Simply excellent medical care from Dra. Andrea and the entire LA CLINICA ORGANIZATION. Experiencia fantástica: I was bitten by a stray dog in the San Rafael neighborhood of SMA and needed to get it checked out. Clinics SMA was highly recommended by friends so we went there the next morning. Dr. Andrea was amazing. She noticed I had two knee replacements and flagged that as a possible problem with infections. She gave me a treatment plan and I was on my way. The only drawback I had was the cost of the pharmacy downstairs. It’s convenient to have everything there, but you can get the same drugs for a lot less elsewhere. Dr. Andrea is A+++++!

Apart from speaking perfect English as do most of his team, Dr. Andrea Hernandez & Radiologist, Oscar Oscar Lopez, he and all his support staff have the most caring bedside manner. One must not forget Nurses,Adriana, Fernanda, Carla & Eliz just fantastic. I and my wife Linda cannot recommend La Clinica more strongly. As Expats living in a foreign county medical issues can be scary, but much like the love Mexico shares, so does Dr wR Gordillo and his La Clinica and pharmacy.

Experiencia fantástica: I have just been through the painful process of a torn meniscus. I was taken to Dr Ricardo Gordillo for consultation and was immediately taken care with the speedy care and service Initially X Rays and Ultrasound to discover the problem. I’m not a fan of surgery so was offered the procedure of PRP. It was of course carried out with such efficiency 6 days later. It helped almost immediately. All of the procedure staff were professional ,upbeat and helpful. I recommend Dr Ricardo and his amazing team 5 stars

Experiencia fantástica: Very efficient. Instructions for the procedures were explained in details. Recovery was quick, follow-up was thorough. Very satisfied. This is about the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injection procedure for one of the knees, (meniscus tear, injury to medial collateral ligament due to fall) given on Feb. 18/25. A week after follow-up appointment time, pain was completely gone and I could walk without the walking stick on flat surface. By March 27/25, the knee was completely cured and normal. I strongly recommend PRP procedures at this clinic. Dr. Ricardo Gordillos is my family doctor while I stay here in the winter, and I appreciate his care a lot.

I was assisted by a very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, caring, and Spanish/English speaking physician who quickly assisted me with my health issue, prescribed medications, and later ordered lab tests to see if my health issue was resolved, and indeed it was resolved. He’s very professional and knowledgeable. The nurses were very experienced and helpful - a bruise free IV. The infusion room is very comfortable. The pharmacist was very helpful and had everything.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Ricado Gordillo is using PRP injjection therapy to relieve extreme pain in my shoulders and restore range of motion. Dr. Gordillo diagnosed my condition with state of the art ultra-sound and xray imaging. One shoulder had a 25% rotator cuff tear and the other 50%. He was very honest with me about the length of time and the number of PRP injects that might be necessary to relieve the pain and possibly repair the damage to my shoulderes.Both shoulders have worn and damaged cartlage. So far the treatments have been very successful. Prior to the first set of injections I could not sleep with the pain. I was using 400-600 mg ibuprofen as needed to manage the pain. 5 months ago I recieved the first injections. Since then I have not used any pain medication and can fall asleep without pain. I recieve the second set of injections August 8 2024. Then early next year possibly stem cell or mor PRP. I recommend Dr. Gordillo and La Clinica. He is professional, diagnosically superior, and friendly. The Clinic is first rate.

Experiencia negativa: This review is not about the Dr, but is about their testing. Two days ago I visited the clinic for a simple EKG, a requirement for a small eye surgery in Mexico City. Upon receiving the results, I read the summary of the test. I truly felt I had moments to live based on the summary results. Immediately I made an appointment with the top cardiologist at hospital Angeles, centro sur in queretaro. ( which is an Incredible hospital, best I have ever been in) he repeated the test with the newest equipment. Found absloutely nothing wrong compared to the La Clinica EKG. Their test was completely erroneous. I strongly suggest careful consideration before having an important test done there. Don't know if was lack of training or just old equipment out of calibration.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Ricardo Gordillo is the best doctor ever and I would give him ten stars if possible! I have been going to him for several years now for things as minor as an eye infection, and as serious as a broken foot. In that case, he sent his X-ray colleague to my HOUSE on a Saturday to do mobile X-rays in my living room! The technician then sent the scans to the doctor via cell phone and within an hour of my accident - and when I was living alone and in too much pain to move - I learned it was broken. You just cant get that kind of care in the States...After all this time, I have 100% confidence in his professional opinions, work and referrals. But just as important, he always responds right away when I need an appointment and is personable and fun and treats me like a human being. Also very important - he doesn't over-prescribe medications and will happily recommend more natural remedies when appropriate, or nothing at all. Plus, he has a great sense of humor as well as a great happy, local art collection. And you gotta love a doctor who appreciates art! So nice to be so far from home (US) and feel so confident in my medical care here!

Usually emergency issues. I would like to say in this particular last case I was not feeling good at all from what had happened, I had fallen and thought my rib cage was damage and was truly worried . I was received by the X ray specialist “Adriana Macías “whom was already aware of me coming. She most have seen my worried face and crooked posture and took me into the x ray rooms inmediato. After reviewing my X rays gave me rhe most comforting news and told me that all was well and had no fracture even though the pain was there I felt instant relief. I have been blessed by not having to go into hospitals, doctors , clinics I have had terrible experiences in the past with the way most places treat you here in Mexico and in the US. I would like to say that for being a local town clinic their infrastructure equipment and their care for patients is fenomenal. Dr Ricardo Gordillo and staff have changed my view on hospital care and service. I have lived most of my life in San Miguel and I can say now that I am proud of what our little town that is in constant growth can provide. Experiencia fantástica: We have been patients of Dr Gordillo for the past 5 years. As a Physician this man so exemplifies the value of care. When we met him 5 year's ago he gave us his cellphone number and said to call if we needed him. When we protested he said " please call me, that's my job, to take of you". And he has done that in practice many times. Today, we called because of illness, and he immediately reviewed the symptoms and recommended an IV treatment, available at the Clinic. On a moment's notice I was seen and treated. I was home in 3 hours and felt considerably better. This is care. The clinic itself is a modern, well equipped facility with many services available directly, such as ultrasound, a surgical suite, dental, and pharmacy.

At 9am the next mornng, I had an appointment. My Spanish was limited but that was no problem. Experiencia fantástica: I came in without an appointment to La Clínica on Saturday morning with what I thought might be a UTI. I don’t have a regular doctor and the one I contacted couldn’t see me for a month. Here at La Clinica, in ten minutes I had the test results in hand and shortly after that one of the doctors wrote me a prescription for antibiotics to get rid of the infection. Wow! What great service! I really appreciated the kindness and efficiency shown to me at this clinic and I’ll definitely be back if I need care in the future. Muchas gracias La Clinica!

Not being a good spanish speaker, I appreciate that almost all the staff speaks english, which makes it easy to schedule appointments. The care I received there recently for a TURP procedure I needed, which was performed on site, was, in a word, exemplary. The entire experience, from check in, to follow up, was like nothing I've ever experienced, and successful. Professional, friendly, caring, and efficient, would describe the care I received from the doctors and entire staff. I couldn't recommend SMA La Clinica more highly.

Experiencia fantástica: Very professional place and at the same time quite relaxed. I broke the base of my thumb opening the garage door. The fracture I had only occurs in 3-5% of all thumb fracture cases and they are also hard to detect, because it is hidden. However, dr. Adrián and Dr. Merat immediately detected it on the x-ray, and provided me with best care possible, against reasonable prices. I can definitely recommend this place.

Experiencia fantástica: We had an unbelievably positive experience with Dr. Werner Gordillo Morath. While traveling through Mexico, my husband developed severe pain in his shoulder, and after many days of increasingly intense pain, we knew he needed to see a doctor. Our hotel concierge contacted La Clinica—a couple hours later we saw Dr. Gordillo, and the next morning my husband received treatment. Within 24 hours my husband had pain relief and was on the way to recovery. As we contemplate a move to San Miguel de Allende, we know we have found our clinic and doctor. We cannot say thank you enough and we highly recommend this facility and physician.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Dr. Ricardo Gordillo at La Clinica for PRP, enriched plasma shots. It was excruciating to walk; both knees were bone on bone. I received enriched plasma shots, PRP, in both knees, and now I walk pain-free up and down San Miguel's hilly cobblestone streets. Recently I had PRP in my neck for whiplash from a car accident that happened fourteen years ago. Now I can move my neck without pain. Dr. Ricardo is wonderful, caring, and helpful, and La Clinica is fully equipped for X-rays, bone density scans, and physical therapy. Everything was done very professionally in a clean, state-of-the-art, beautiful facility.

Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased to discover this place. Dr Gordillo is a very personable physician, who listens carefully and treats appropriately. The Clinic is very clean, the staff is helpful, there is a lab on the premises so you get results in 10 minutes, and there is a pharmacy that dispenses the meds you need. They will also call a cab for you when you leave. There are many different kinds of specialists here. Also, there are many doctors at the clinic, not all of them full time, so if you urgently want a doctor the staff will set you up with another one.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the issues which many expats face in moving to SMA is a concern about healthcare. Dispel those issues immediately. La Clinica offers patient centered medical care. When we first came to SMA I had to do an MRI and the equipment at another medical facility was antique. I recently had a CatScan with LaClinica's radiologist and it was state of the art. LaClinica offers a variety of services including a stem cell lab and a wellness center. The quality of care here exceeds what we have often experienced in the US.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband became concerned when he lost partial vision last week and we called Dr. W Ricardo Gordillo Morath at La Clinica SMA and he made an appointment to see my husband for that afternoon. After a sensitive interview and pb test etc. Dr. Gordillo Morath quickly generated appropriate hypotheses re diagnoses and scheduled appointments for that afternoon with another specialist. . He also did all the necessary tests and made a follow-up appointment for 5 days later. In short, this doctor responded rapidly and was extremely responsive and explained his thinking clearly (and in excellent English). I would go back to him anytime. An excellent 'beside manner' and sense of humour as well. Nice offices as well.
